APACHA derives its strength from well established people’s networks on the ground. In countries like
Nepal,
India,
Bangladesh,
Pakistan,
Cambodia, APACHA national initiatives have significantly gained visibility and have been able to show their strengths in different campaigns. In all these countries different networks, alliances and organizations like HIV positive networks, Dalit networks, Trade Unions, Student Unions, migrant networks, women’s rights networks, food security networks, and indigenous rights networks have been working together as a interdisciplinary network. In countries like China, Vietnam, Sri Lanka and Thailand APACHA is beginning to connect with the local networks and alliances. Similarly there are plans to launch new initiatives in Afghanistan, Myanmar, Indonesia and Japan. Along with the active participation, facilitation and engagement at the regional level campaigns and actions, country chapters are independent to engage themselves at various activities and campaigns based on their national priorities and plans.
